Important Notice: DiveCore is a diving aid. Do not rely solely on the values shown by your dive computer; always follow conservative profiles as a certified, trained diver. The estimated dive route is not real GPS tracking.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing and running DiveCore (the "App"), you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App and delete it immediately.
These Terms are provided by furyus.dev (the "Developer") and govern the rights and obligations between you and the Developer.
2. Description of Service
DiveCore is a diving aid app that runs on Apple Watch Ultra and iPhone, providing the following:
- Decompression calculations based on the Bühlmann ZHL-16C algorithm
- Estimated dive route visualization (sensor-fusion-based dead-reckoning)
- On-device AI dive analysis (Risk Index, score breakdown)
- No-fly time Live Activity
- Dive log storage and iCloud sync
- Underwater photo editing tools (DiveCore Studio)
3. Safety Disclaimer (Most Important)
DiveCore is not a medical device and does not replace training from a certified dive instructor.
- Diving carries inherent risks. It should be performed only by qualified, certified divers.
- The NDL, decompression ceiling, and no-fly time displayed by the App are reference values. Always dive with a buddy and follow conservative profiles.
- Readings may be inaccurate due to sensor errors, battery depletion, denied permissions, firmware bugs, and similar issues.
- In an emergency, all decisions—including omitting a safety stop—are the diver's own judgment.
- The Developer is not liable for any physical, property, or legal damages arising from use of the App.
4. Estimated Dive Route Disclaimer
The "Estimated Dive Route" feature is not real underwater GPS tracking. GPS signals do not work underwater, and the App estimates changes in the diver's position by fusing the surface GPS coordinates at entry/exit with compass, gyroscope, accelerometer, and elapsed-time data during the dive.
The estimated route may differ from the actual route for the following reasons:
- Estimation error caused by currents, buoyancy changes, and diver posture
- Inaccurate magnetic-north correction and magnetically interfering environments
- The average swimming-speed assumption of the activity model
- No drift correction applied when no exit GPS is received
Do not use this feature for safety-critical purposes such as navigation, wayfinding, search and rescue, or accident investigation.
5. Subscription Terms (DiveCore Pro)
5.1 Pricing and Renewal
- Fee: Annual subscription — the price shown in the App Store (charged in the local currency for each region)
- Free trial: 7 days of all features free for new users only (one time only)
- Auto-renewal: The subscription automatically renews for one year unless canceled at least 24 hours before expiration.
- The fee is charged to your Apple ID at the price displayed at the time of renewal.
5.2 Cancellation and Refunds
- Cancel your subscription: iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → DiveCore → Cancel Subscription
- Refunds are handled according to the Apple App Store refund policy. The Developer has no authority to issue refunds directly; refunds are only possible through Apple.
- If you cancel during the free trial period, you will not be charged.
5.3 Family Sharing
The DiveCore Pro subscription does not support Family Sharing. Each user must subscribe separately.
6. User Obligations
Users shall comply with the following:
- Hold a diving certification and use the App only within the limits of your own diving ability
- Recognize that the displayed data may be inaccurate and use a backup dive computer / manual procedures in parallel
- Do not reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the App
- Do not use the App to cause harm to others
7. Intellectual Property
The DiveCore app, logo, design, algorithm implementation, watermark design, and the "DiveCore" trademark belong to furyus.dev. The Bühlmann ZHL-16C algorithm itself is a publicly available academic model, while the App's Swift implementation is the copyrighted work of furyus.dev.
Dive logs, share cards, and photos (including watermarks) that you create with the App belong to you.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, furyus.dev is not liable for the following damages arising from use of the App:
- Physical injury or death resulting from a diving accident
- Damage to diving equipment
- iCloud sync delays or failures
- Damages caused by measurement errors
- Damages caused by service interruptions of third parties (Apple, carriers, etc.)
Total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App over the past 12 months.
9. Service Interruption
The Developer may temporarily or permanently discontinue the service for the following reasons:
- Changes in iOS / watchOS / CloudKit compatibility
- Changes in legal or regulatory requirements
- Developer circumstances (such as ceasing operations)
In the case of permanent discontinuation, notice will be given in-app at least 30 days in advance, and your dive logs will remain preserved in iCloud (data in your own Apple account).
10. Changes to These Terms
If these Terms change, advance notice will be given via the "Last updated" date on this page. For material changes, the consent screen will be shown again on the App's first launch. If you continue to use the App after a change, you are deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the App shall first be resolved through mutual consultation between the parties; if no agreement is reached, it shall be handled by the court having jurisdiction over the Developer's address.
